Life is a series of hills and valleys, continuously giving us opportunities to choose either acceptance or denial.
We can fret, dwell and then ignore what's in front of us or, we can accept it, deal with it and move forward.
In many cases, we are not as hard done by as we think ourselves to be.
And, the unfortunate, yet unifying truth is that these things happen to everyone - including millionaires.
The only difference between those that get upset about life's hits and those that choose to deal with them is that the people who get upset oft en enjoy reveling in self-pity.
They get great satisfaction from punishing themselves or labeling themselves a 'victim'.
Little do they know the serious consequences of their actions and how they are affecting their future based on their own self-imposed prison.
By feeding on this drama they prevent themselves from creating infinite possibilities and seeing the true unlimited potential that life has to offer.
Through the practice of understanding and acceptance, you really can learn to better deal with life's little annoyances, including people's perceptions of you.
You may not be able to forgive yourself or someone who has done you wrong right away but, you can at least allow yourself to finally accept that it has happened.
Once you learn to accept those things from your past, they seem to lose their power.
If you choose not to forgive someone or something, that's your choice - but at least learn to accept the fact that it has happened, and move forward towards becoming the happy and successful person you are meant to be.
In the case where you may be deeply troubled by something you did, try making amends, first with yourself, and second with the person/people you did it to.
If that's not possible, then write a letter of apology and read it out loud.
It might sound silly, but apologizing out loud brings the apology into existence.
Now that it's been released into the Universe, you'll be ready to move on with a clearer conscience and a lighter heart.
You can also start to understand and accept that you're not a perfect person.
And that the world around you is not a perfect place.
Stop wishing that life was easy and start having pride in how you deal with your mistakes and unfortunate circumstances as they come your way.
Because they will.
By doing so, you'll start living in the moment.
Not only that, but you will have effectively broken the addiction you have to your emotions, and will no longer give those negative memories time or space in your mind.
Instead, you will have automatically made room for new opportunities to attract abundance and wealth into your life.
