The movie 'Bucket List,' reminds us to live life to the fullest.
Jack Nickolson, Edward (a rich man) meets Carter, (an auto mechanic), Morgan Freeman, when they are in the hospital for cancer treatments.
They live different lifestyles, yet, become friends when they bond because of their common terminal illness.
While waiting for the results of his last cancer treatment, Carter writes a 'bucket list,' of things to do before he, 'kicks the bucket,' (i.
e.
dies) a phrase defined in Grose's Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue 1785.
After being informed he has less than a year to live, Carter wads the list and tosses it on the floor.
Edward finds it and urges Carter to do everything on the list and offers to finance an around the world trip.
Carter agrees, despite the protest of his wife, Virginia, Beverly Todd.
Do you have a 'bucket list' of things you would like to experience before you transition? As Stephen Covey said, "No one on their deathbed will wish they had spent more time at the office.
" What would you put on your 'bucket list?' Here are some suggestions: •Walk in the footsteps of Jesus •Spend time with Michelangelo's David •Visit the Louvre, Eifel Tower, Great Wall of China •Visit The Natural Wonders of the World-(Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef, Harbour of Rio de Janeiro, Mount Everest, Aurora Paricutin Volcano, Victoria Falls, Niagara Falls) •Swimming in the healing water of Hawaii •Take a spiritual pilgrimage No matter what you put on your 'bucket list' plan how and when you will be able to cross it off.
I wish you well on your journey.
